Rona is the author of two memoirs, My Mother's Daughter and most recently Starter Dog: My Path to Joy, Belonging and Loving This World. The craft of writing for Rona is encoded in her DNA and was ensconced in her world from day one. As she describes, it was the family business, led by her writer mother, Fredelle, and her sister Joyce, who picked up the author mantle early on. For many years Rona took an adjacent path, and was at the editorial helm of Chatelaine, a well-respected women's magazine based in Canada. She retired from this hard-charging and most fulfilling lifestyle in 2016 and quickly found herself asea. She knew she needed direction, a purpose, and thus we arrive at the latest addition to her family, Casey, the Beagle mix, and by the way, a very good boy, who quickly commanded her and husband Paul's hearts and who shares a co-lead in Rona's latest memoir.
