Trendsetting and Paying Forward: Gia Peebles and Glenda Turner and The Ebony Anglers
Gia Peebles and Glenda Turner are no strangers to challenges. These resolute African-American women have yet to meet a mountain they are not willing to try climbing, or a powerful fish they won't fight for hours. Successful in business and in life, Gia and Glenda, along with kindred spirits Lesleigh Mausi, Bobbiette Glover, and Tiana Davis, came together to form the Ebony Anglers, the first African-American women's competitive fishing team. They have parlayed their experiences into a growing enterprise of serving children of color, empowering them to try new and different experiences. They are compassionate models for good in their local, and the greater, community. Join us for this episode to hear more of these two ladies and the Ebony Anglers.
