Show Notes

Dr. Mick Smyer, who hails from New Orleans, was moved to become involved in hands on educational efforts to help people find their personal connection to care and stewardship of our natural world. What were the deciding factors that so inspired Mick? Hurricane Katrina which wrought indescribably damage to the people and places around his beloved hometown, and his lovable passel of four grandsons, currently all under the age of six. Mick sees the urgency in the perspectives we hold and the actions we each take now for the benefit of the generations to come. He is the founder and CEO of Growing Greener: Climate Action for a Warming World and is working assiduously alongside many partners of all ages to spread the good word and deeds. Learn more about Mick's work at growing-greener.org.
